The Good Sam RallyEnjoy the good times at The Good Sam Rally in Phoenix, presented by DISH Network, March 22 – 25, and delight in our top notch entertainment….Martina McBride and Bill Cosby!  We hope that you will be joining us for four full days of fun and excitement at the Phoenix International Raceway.

The entertainment for our 2012 Phoenix Rally is firming up, and we hope that you’ll be there to experience it!  We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be featuring country music’s 4-time winner of Female Vocalist of the Year, superstar Martina McBride!  And it doesn’t stop there…..we’re privileged to welcome everybody’s favorite comedian, Bill Cosby.

Martina McBride to entertain RVers at the 2012 Good Sam Club Rally in PhoenixA Kansas native, Martina McBride started her recording career in 1992, with the album, The Time Has Come.  This was followed by another album, The Way That I Am, containing such hits as “My Baby Loves Me” and “Independence Day”, which won Video of the Year and Song of the Year from the Country Music Association.  Since then, she’s been recording a solid line of popular hits, including “A Broken Wing”, “Happy Girl” and “Wrong Again”.

In 2003, McBride’s single, “This One’s for the Girls” became a hit not only in country music, but also on the contemporary charts.  She followed it up with “In My Daughter’s Eyes”, and the following year, (after wins in 1999, 2002, and 2003), won the CMA’s Female Vocalist award for the fourth time, tying with Reba McEntire for the most wins in that category.

McBride’s eleventh album, appropriately called “Eleven”, has just been released this week.  She’s introducing it not in New York or Los Angeles, but in a unique train tour around the United States, making eleven stops and raising money for breast cancer research.  Included in the album is the song “I’m Gonna Love You Through it” an inspirational and powerful song telling about love and support for those suffering with breast cancer.

Bill Cosby to entertain at the 2012 Good Sam Club Rally in PhoenixIn the 1960s, Bill Cosby’s stand-up act was a coast-to-coast sensation, spawning a string of hilarious, best-selling comedy albums, which went on to win eight Gold Records, five Platinum records and five Grammy Awards. His role on TV’s I Spy made him the first African-American to co-star in a dramatic series, breaking television’s racial barrier and winning three Emmy Awards. In the 1980s, he again rocked the television world with the The Cosby Show, a gentle, whimsical and hugely successful series that single-handedly revived the family sitcom.

With hit movies like Uptown Saturday Night and best-selling books like Fatherhood, Bill Cosby is quite simply a national treasure with the unique ability to touch people’s hearts.  We look forward to welcoming him to his first Good Sam Rally!

We’re also delighted to bring back our favorite Beatles tribute band, Ticket to Ride, who entertained us at our Redmond Rally back in 2007.  It’s a great chance to sing along to all those fabulous Beatles’ hits. In addition to the huge trade show with the latest and greatest RVs of all shapes and sizes, not to mention all the RV accessories, here’s a quick update of even more plans underway:

We’ll be offering four full nights of quality professional entertainment, plus hundreds of informative seminars which will teach you more about the RV lifestyle.  And, our huge trade show, displaying hundreds of the latest RVs of all shapes and sizes, plus 300+ exhibit booths with all the RV accessories you’d ever need, will all be in operation right in the infield.  You’ll even have a chance to test drive new motorhomes around the track….for the closest thing to a NASCAR experience in an RV!

And there’s more:

We’ll have prizes galore!  Camping World is again sponsoring the Rally’s most popular game…Match N Win!  Find another Rally attendee who matches your Match N Win number, and you’ll not only win a prize, but be eligible for even more!  And throughout the Rally, you’ll be able to earn extra Good Sam “Smiles”…..tickets you can use for our major prize drawings!

Our optional tour buffet is growing by the second!  Arizona is a fascinating world of its own, and it will be hard to choose which destinations to visit.  Here’s what we have confirmed to date:  walking tours of Scottsdale and downtown Phoenix; the beautiful red rocks and amazing crafts found in Sedona; tours of the Heard Museum in Phoenix – one of the world’s finest destinations for American Indian arts and culture;  the annual Renaissance Fair in Apache Junction; hot air ballooning, reserved tickets to spring training baseball games, and lots more to come!

All veterans are invited to participate in Coast to Coast Resorts’ Veterans Salute.  Strap on your marching boots, bring your old uniform, (well, whatever still fits!) and show your patriotism by joining fellow veterans in our first Veterans Parade!

Our traditional Community Service Day will be Tuesday, March 20….a chance for Rally guests to give back to the communities we visit.   We’ve just confirmed a cleanup project with the Tres Rios Wetlands organization.  Tres Rios Wetlands is where the Salt, Gila, and Agua FriaRiversunite to provide a home for native species.  As you can imagine, there’s nothing more near and dear to the heart of an Arizonan than water!

There will be a book discussion and book exchange on March 22.  The book will be “To Kill A Mockingbird” by Harper Lee.

We’ve got a fantastic “Star Trek” adventure all lined up for you on early bird night, March 21.  The West Valley Astronomy Club will be on hand with their telescopes to show you what’s in the heavens.

Good Sam will partner with Project Linus at all three 2012 Rallies.  Project Linus is a nationwide non-profit organization that provides blankets for children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.  Blankets are collected locally and distributed to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, or anywhere that a child might be in need of a big hug!

Register now and get the latest breaking information by visiting www.therally.com or call 800-701-1399.  All-inclusive Rally prices for all four days start at only $179/rig….entitling you to the entire Good Sam Rally experience — good times, great friends, top-line entertainment and more, all in a beautiful location!

We look forward to seeing you in Phoenix!

  1. Thanks for your interest in attending the Rally! The The Rally Day Pass is $10 per day and grants admission to the indoor and outdoor exhibitor areas only, admission to seminars or evening entertainment are not included. Here’s a link for more information on the day passes: http://therally.com/information/day-pass/

Robert – while the Day Passes don’t include admission to the evening entertainment, we do offer what’s called a Rally Passport. This option allows you to attend the Rally and enjoy all the exhibits, activities, entertainment and prize drawings without parking your RV. Rally Passports are valid for admission to all four days of The Rally and are $89.00 per person or $79 for Good Sam Club members. For more information on this option, click this link: http://therally.com/information/rally-passport/

Fred – The $189 was actually a misprint, which we’ve now corrected. Pricing actually starts at $179 for Good Sam members according to http://www.theRally.com. This includes admission to the Rally for 1 adult, and is dry camping. For more information on pricing, click this link: http://therally.com/information/rally-prices/

You stated earlier that there would be a $10.00 daily Rally entrance fee for those of us that stay in the area. Would we also be able to purchase tickets to the concerts that will be presented at the Rally and what might the charge be? We would actually love to attend the whole Rally, but we will be working at the California Angels Spring Training facility during a few of the Rally dates.

  4. Roger – we’re so excited that we’ll be seeing you at the Rally in Phoenix! To answer your question, you will be receiving information on tours and other activities in the weeks ahead. Be sure to watch your email inbox as well as your postal mailbox for registration information about these activities. Thanks for your interest!

  5. Great question Bill! We do offer day passes to the Rally for $10, and that gives you admission to the indoor and outdoor exhibitor areas. If you would like more information on that day passes, click the link below:

  6. Mike – we’re so sorry about your experience at Camping World in Denton, TX. We would like to learn more about your situation. If you could email [email protected] along with your member number, we would be happy to check into this issue.

We are Good Sam Members but winter in Apache Junction. Will not be bringing an RV to Rally. Is it possible to come to the Rally for just one day?

  8. It’s time that Good Sam start backing all of their members and assist in getting a net work of good HONEST businesses that will not only repair your motorhome, but do it in a timely manner. When your on the road you are at the mercy of every fly by night shop in the area. I drove for three days to get to Camping World in Denton Tx, thinking they had qualified people to work on my M/H,there assistance turned out to be none, there only qualified generator man was to busy to look at my unit, there manager was no help at all, even after I explained I was passing through and really needed their help, It would be nice if when your on the road you could feel at ease when you break down, knowing you could call Good Sam and they could refer you to a GOOD HONEST REPAIR SHOP, that would work on your unit in a timely manner. If the RV Dealers would treat their customers the same after a sale as they do before a sale it would be something to be proud of. I feel Good Sam needs to step up to the plate and help all of us in need. At the next Rally you should sit down with RV er;s and listen to their stories on repairs. By the way you would probably need more then a week..

We are registered for the Rally, our first time attendance. I see things like golf outings, tours etc, my question is will we get more information on signing up for these or do we waite until we get there? We are coming in early,(Tuesday).
