Outer Banks West KOA is North Carolina’s newest waterfront campground. This secluded oasis, opening in Spring of 2020 on the shores of the Currituck Sound, is just 30 minutes from shopping, dining and beaches in the Outer Banks. There’s so much to love about this campground that you might decide to spend your whole trip right there.

One of the great things about Outer Banks West KOA is all the different ways to stay. There are waterfront RV sites with beautiful views of the Currituck Sound, inland RV sites close to all the amenities, deluxe patio RV sites perfect for outdoor living, seasonal RV sites for those who want to stay a little longer and primitive tent sites for campers who want to get back to basics.

This waterfront KOA also has all the basics you need for a great trip. If you forget something, the camp store is well stocked, and the brand-new bathhouses and laundry facilities will keep you clean and comfortable.

When it comes to amenities, there’s over a half-mile of shoreline at Outer Banks West KOA, so the water is a huge part of the fun. Guests can cast a line from one of the five fishing piers, launch a boat or kayak from one of the two ramps or sit back and enjoy the view.

There’s plenty to do on dry land too. Guests can gather around the community fire pit or play a pick-up game at the sand volleyball court or on the baseball field. Kids will love the playground and jump pillow, while your fur baby is sure to have fun at the dog park.

The 7,500 square foot activities center is perfect for hosting groups of all sizes, and the onsite Group Coordinator is there to make sure any event you plan at Outer Banks West KOA runs smoothly from start to finish. The activities center is also the hub of special events and theme weekends. The onsite activities director arranges fun for the whole family so that there’s never a dull moment.
