Live Oaks Landing RV Campground - Pull-Through RV sites with full hook-ups

Live Oak Landing is one of the newest RVC Outdoor Destinations and is already turning heads. Nestled along the Choctawhatchee Bay with direct water frontage on the gorgeous Black Creek, Live Oak Landing is a beautiful campground committed to offering its guests a hotel-like experience in the ideal natural environment. Each one of the RV campsites is concrete, complete with full hook-ups, 50 amp service, cable and Wi-Fi.

For those of you who enjoy fishing, there are some excellent on-property fishing spots. As a guest, you have easy access to the water through a private boat ramp and dock. You can choose to fish right from the dock or venture out to experience some of the very best bayou, river, bay, and Gulf Coast fishing in the region.

Its several century old Live Oak trees take campers back to a time when things moved at a more relaxing pace. Yet, should you feel the urge to go into town, Destin is merely minutes away with some of the best shopping and seafood restaurants in the South. If you want to bring your friends, but they don’t own an RV, no worries! There are brand-new furnished cottages to rent near the RV sites.  This unique combination of seclusion and proximity are what make Live Oak Landing such a highly desirable destination. So, be sure to add Live Oak Landing to your must-see list of campgrounds this year.

I stayed at the Baddeck Campground in the Fall of 2009. Its location is great for traveling the Cabot Trail in either direction, and the Alexander Graham Bell Museum is very nice. The RV sites were nice, and there were eagles nearby. The one problem that I had was that I could not get my Directv to work. I live in the Seacoast NH area, and I was told that Directv is not allowed in Canada. I’m not sure about that, because my Directv did work on Prince Edward Island.

The Cabot Trail is fantastic and very scenic! Some great photos! Some of the roads are in bad shape, however, and this was a problem on my motorcycle…I had to be careful. I took the ferry over from Prince Edward Island, and it was a nice ride. It is a good idea to call ahead to the ferry, and get there early!
