The RallyWhat could be three times as good as a Good Sam Rally?  Three Rallies, of course!  All are presented by DISH, and that’s what Good Sam is planning for 2012.

We start the season in Phoenix, Arizona, March 21 through 24, at Phoenix International Raceway in neighboring Avondale, Arizona. It will be hard to top this Rally’s evening entertainment menu — Grammy award winning country superstar Martina McBride, America’s favorite comedian Bill Cosby, Sha Na Na’s Bowzer, and our popular Beatles tribute band, Ticket to Ride.

The Phoenix Rally is bringing back many Rally traditional activities like our dog show, our ladies’ get together, a book exchange, pet adoption, Camping World’s Match N Win game, and more. But we’re also introducing some new activities as well. We’ll be saluting our military veterans, inviting all vets to join others from their branch of service to show everyone that they can still march in our military parade around the track. The dog show will be followed by our first dog parade, allowing our Rally pups to strut their stuff. Well-known and respected RV historian, David Woodworth, will be conducting seminars on the first 100 years of RVing, and is bringing along a fascinating display of historic rigs and their accessories.  For the first time, we’ll be offering an RV Safe Driving Course, where graduates may be eligible for discounts on their RV insurance. And our friendly RV exhibitors are even allowing Rally guests to drive motorhomes around the Phoenix International Raceway track!

We’re also taking advantage of the many unique cultures and attractions in the Grand Canyon State. Optional motorcoach tours will transport guests everywhere from the fascinating Phoenix Heard Museum to the Pima Air and Space Museum to the red rocks of Sedona. And we even have a trip planned to attend spring training baseball to watch the San Diego Padres play the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Space if filling up for the Phoenix Rally, and we’ve just extended the Early Bird registration discount until February 15, so we suggest you don’t delay in signing up.

Next, we’re off to the bluegrasses of Kentucky for the summer Rally, June 22 through 25, where the beautiful Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville will again be rolling out the welcome mat to Rally guests.

Sheryl Crow to perform at the Louisville RallyThe complete evening entertainment package is currently being finalized, and we’re delighted to announce our headliner – none other than Sheryl Crow! Many of Sheryl’s smash hit songs, including “Every Day Is a Winding Road”, “A Change Would Do You Good”, and “The First Cut Is the Deepest”, are just examples of her broad repertoire of popular songs which easily cross between classical rock and her country roots, broadening her appeal to all generations. Her latest album, “100 Miles From Memphis”, is a statement of purpose, both musical and emotional.

In addition, award-winning composer and musician Burt Bacharach will be tinkling the ivories in Freedom Hall on Friday night. A living legend in the music world, Bacharach will be performing his long line of hits, including “Anyone Who Had a Heart”, “Walk On By”, “I Say a Little Prayer”, “Do You Know the Way to San Jose”, “This Girl’s in Love With You”, and “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again”, “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on my Head”, and more.

Louisville is a great destination for RVers, located on the Ohio River and universally recognized for events and attractions like the Kentucky Derby, the Louisville Slugger Museum, the Mohammed Ali Center, the riverboat Belle of Louisville and many designated historic homes. And the Kentucky Exposition Center allows us to schedule all of the Rally’s activities under one air-conditioned roof.

The Rally’s final 2012 performance takes place at none other than Florida’s Daytona International Speedway, November 2 through 4. Site of our 2005 Rally, the outstanding facility, gorgeous Florida beaches, sunshine and scenery, the nearby attractions, and the excitement of being part of “The Great American Race” makes this one of our most popular and fun destinations. Again, Rally guests will have the opportunity to test drive an RV on the track.

In addition to the special and unique program each Rally brings to the table, there are a number of activities we offer at all of our Rallies. These Rallies are the best place to learn about what’s going on in the RV world with literally hundreds of seminars covering everything including RV tire safety, water purification, RV destinations, the care and maintenance of generators, mobile satellites, and even craft classes. We have a huge exhibit area with hundreds of booths offering every RV accessory you can think of. And RV manufacturers and dealers bring their latest and greatest RVs of all makes, shapes and sizes to display for Rally guests. We also try to give back to those communities that host us, when our Rally goers volunteer for a community work project. Camping World brings RV technicians on-site to consult individually about the specific needs and fixes of guests’ RVs.

Most of all, the Good Sam Rallies bring together a large group of fun-loving, interesting RV owners….our Good Sam members. We become a true community, where we share our experiences and the love of the RV lifestyle. And best of all, we make many, many new friends along the way.

These Rallies have been planned to be held in different sections of the country, so more members can take advantage of the many programs they have to offer. Multi-Rally discounts are also available, and Early Bird discounts are in effect until February 15. We look forward to seeing you on the Rally trail!
