The updated version of this free tool, which helps users find RV parks all over North America, also works on Apple iPhones and iPad and iPod Touch devices, making it available to more RVers than ever before.
How it Works
The Good Sam Camping app taps into the Good Sam RV Travel Guide and Campground Directory’s database of 8,000 private RV parks and campgrounds. From the opening screen, simply indicate the city and state you’re planning to visit and the app will show you parks in your vicinity. You can also simply tap the Find Parks Nearby button, which determines your location and finds parks close to you.
The Good Sam Camping app also gives you complete info on the more-than 2,100 Good Sam Parks that offer a 10 percent discount to Good Sam Club members. Users can also look up the more-than 100 Camping World locations across the U.S. to purchase great RV products and services using the Good Sam discount.
Customize Your Search
With this app, RVers can filter their searches to include campgrounds based on the availability of Wi-Fi, full hookups, big rig sites, swimming pools, laundry facilities or tourism destinations. Even better, you can filter your search to include only Good Sam Parks to ensure that you’ll always get a discount when you camp. Each park listing contains the park’s rating along with prices and facility information, including pet restrictions. Detailed site information lets users know what size sites are available and what kind of hookups guests can expect. Select RV Driving Directions or Google Map Directions to ensure you find your way.
One-touch access to park websites gives users even more information without ever leaving the app. Smart phone users can touch the phone number in each park’s listing for an instant connection. Click on the Facebook logo to share your trip with your friends and followers, and bookmark your favorite locations for handy reference. Encourage your non-Good Sam friends to download the app and press the Join The Club button to get starting with great benefits, services and savings.
