We are only 1.5 miles north of Lake Shawnee, where you can enjoy fishing, boating, jet skiing, paddle boating and a beautiful 8-mile trail around the entire lake – perfect for walking or bike riding. It also has a fabulous 18-hole golf course, an 11-acre arboretum and 9.5 acres of beautiful gardens. Deer Creek Valley RV Park is close to baseball and softball diamonds as well. We are a vacation destination as well as a relaxing stay-over for travelers.  Reservations are strongly recommended.

You Can Expect More Because We Have More

Deer Creek Valley Park is beautifully landscaped, surrounded by trees, and for your safety, our resort is completely enclosed by a beautiful access-controlled gate.  All of our roads and RV sites are level concrete. They are large, 35′ x 95′, with a 10′ x 20′ concrete patio, with grass and a table at each site.  We offer free WiFi and cable for your enjoyment.

In addition to a fun playground for the kiddos, we have a beautiful heated swimming pool with a shaded pavilion at one end.  Our large, concrete bathhouse, which doubles as a storm shelter, contains all-automatic restrooms, showers and a laundry facility. For those special occasions, a wonderful community room, with a kitchen, which holds up to 120 people is available to create lasting memories during your stay.  Pets, with some breed restrictions, are welcome here too.  We have an extra large, fenced dog park.

Explore Topeka, the Capital of Kansas

If you want to mix some city fun with your exploration of nature while you’re at Deer Creek RV Park, Topeka has what you’re looking for.  The Capitol city has theatres, race tracks, casinos, breweries, art galleries, museums, historical sites, parks, gardens, restaurants, bars, shopping and more.

  • The Evel Knievel Museum showcases an incredible collection of artifacts and motorcycles.  It even features interactive exhibits like the virtual reality 4-D jump experience – Plan Your Jump Interactive Challenge, and many more.
  • Ward Meade Park, originally a family farm on the Oregon Trail, features an early twentieth-century town, an elegant southern-style mansion, botanical gardens and original log cabins.
  • The Topeka Zoo is nationally recognized and features a tropical rain forest, children’s zoo, carousel and train that circles the park.
The Kansas state capitol building is located in downtown Topeka on land donated by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad company. Construction began in 1866 and was officially completed 37 years later in 1903 at a total cost of just over 3.2 million dollars. The building is over 300 feet tall and is 17 feet taller than the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C.
