The Need for Speed

The South Georgia Motor Sports Park, in Adel, Georgia is just five minutes from Cecil Bay RV Park.  Here you will be able to feel the rush of cars as they race by right before your eyes. This Motor Sports Park is a premier racing destination for racers and spectators alike. Over 500,000 visitors experience the facility every year. The Park includes a 1/4-mile drag strip sanctioned by the National Hot Rod Association, an oval track and 380 acres of land for fairs and concerts.  The site hosts prestigious events such as the NHRA Lucas Divisional, Mopar Southern Nationals and the Largest Radial Tire Events in the Nation.

Nature Parks Nearby

Just 15 miles from Cecil Bay RV Park, you will find Reed Bingham State Park. Here, you can relax by fishing in the lake or see abundant wildlife along nature trails. You will see rare species, such as gopher tortoises, spotted turtles, limpkins, moorhens and nesting bald eagles. Nearly 80 percent of the coastal plain’s plant community can be found along the park’s Coastal Plain Nature Trails, making this park’s habitat some of the most diverse in the country.

Wine and Dine

Dining locally is always a great way to experience the area as well. Just 19 miles away, you can find an interesting and delicious three-hour food tour in historic downtown Valdosta. Consider taking Miss Kates Deep South Tour. This wine & dine tour of downtown Valdosta is a wonderful experience.  You will sample different types of food and wines at four different upscale restaurants. Plus, learn about the history of the city, along the way.

Don’t forget to treat yourself to something special at the South Georgia Pecan Company, also in Valdosta. Here you will find a variety of candied pecans, spiced apples, pecan butter, pecan nut butter, and tins and tins of pecan cheese straws, just to name a few items.

So, whether you’re an overnighter, looking for a special place for an extended stay or want to experience some of the things the area has to offer, set your sights on Cecil Bay RV Park.
