Brookhollow RV Park is located one mile east of Interstate 5 in Kelso, WA. From this central location you can enjoy day trips to Mt St. Helens, shop, fish and also delight in the local festivities!
Brookhollow is in a picturesque setting, yet located just a mile from Three Rivers Mall and Regal Cinemas and several stores and restaurants. We’re surrounded by a 4 mile dike walk for exercise. Our area is called Three Rivers in honor of the Cowlitz River, the Coweeman River and the mighty Columbia River. Fishing is good and the weather is conducive to year round outdoors sports of all types.
Mt. St. Helen’s is perfect day trip from Brookhollow with three great information centers. Watch videos of when the mountain erupted in May 1980. You can visit by driving or walking various routes around the mountain, seeing the beautiful rebirth of plant and animal life among the devastation wrought by the eruption.
We are 40 miles north of Portland, OR so you can easily hop over the state line and enjoy all the sights and sounds of Portland and return to a quiet setting for your base camp.
Local Fun Festivities & Events
Many fun local festivals and events are in the area, such as the Cowlitz County fair at the Expo Center in Longview, which is on the last weekend in July each year. Professional Rodeo events and Country Western singing stars are always featured along with rides, food booths and exhibits.
The Squirrel Fest is usually the third Saturday in August. Always up for a good time several local entrepreneurs known as The Sandbaggers began the Fest in honor of Amos Peters. Amos came up with the idea of building a bridge over a roadway for squirrels to cross and not get hit by cars.
The Highlander Festival is the first weekend in September and is held at Tam O’Shanter Park in Kelso. Festival features lots of fun Scottish games and entertainment for folks of all ages.
