Welcome to Paradise

Boyd’s Key West Campground is a family owned and operated campground that was founded by Boyd and Elsie Hamilton in 1963. We are a smaller campground located right in the heart of paradise with sites ranging from full hookup RV sites to primitive tent camping both on the waterfront or inland. Our grounds are beautifully landscaped with tropical foliage and large palm trees which will surely provide the “island vibes” you are looking for. Whether you are visiting in the summer or the winter, we have a cooled/heated pool located right next to our tiki hut for optimal relaxation. We also have a campground store located at the front office stocked with a selection of food and drinks, camping necessities and plenty of souvenirs to bring home to friends and family!

Throughout the years, there have been many changes and improvements to the campground, but the one staple that remains the same is the Southernmost Hospitality that we show our guests. We strive to provide all our guests with a 5-star experience starting from the time they call to make the reservation to the time they pull out of our driveway. During our high season (December-April) we have many social activities to participate in throughout the park, varying from Sunday night bingo to monthly camper appreciation cookouts. We offer kayak and paddleboard rentals to our guests as well as a great way to enjoy this unique tropical environment.

Key West Way of Life

Key West has a variety of activities to offer for every vacationer, whether you would like to soak in the history of our small island or soak up some sunrays on a watersports adventure. Fort Zachary Taylor State Park is a great place to take a picnic lunch and lounge by the beach after exploring the old mid-1800’s military fort on site. And don’t forget to bring a hammock and relax under the Australian pine trees right along the beach. Stop by the Mel Fischer Museum and learn all about the shipwrecks of the Santa Margarita, Nuestra Senora de Atocha and more as you get to browse through some of the ancient artifacts found from the ships just off of the Florida Keys. Or stop on by Sloppy Joe’s, one of Key West’s most iconic bars on Duval street, and grab a nice drink to refresh you as you explore. An absolute must, while you are down at Mile 0, is attending the Sunset Celebration that happens every night at Mallory Square. The square is filled with performers, artists and good food to compliment the gorgeous sunsets seen off the west side of the island.
