A Perfect Small-Town Getaway

The Downtown Historic Granbury Square is just the start of your small-town exploration. Granbury is home to many cultural, culinary, historic and enriching stops; a perfect adventure for the entire family. With live performances year-round on iconic stages, downtown nightlife, many annual festivals and much more, the exploration and excitement in historic Granbury never ends.

If you explore the Square and still have some time, some additional Granbury must-see stops include a day on Lake Granbury, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, the famous Revolver Brewing and then a movie at the famous Brazos Drive-In Theater.

Lake Granbury is a scenic rural recreational haven that has 103 miles of shoreline.  The lake has five public boat ramps, two fishing piers, and four overnight excellent camping areas. Granbury City Beach provides a boat ramp, public swimming, and picnicking. Fishing is great here too! Nestled on the banks of Lake Granbury’s sparkling water, the city of Granbury is a resort community where you can relax and enjoy life.

The first facility of its kind to have been accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), Fossil Rim Wildlife Center offers guests a chance to see a variety of endangered species as they drive through live oak thickets, limestone outcroppings and sweeping juniper. Fossil Rim is a drive-through safari experience, known around the globe for its conservation and restoration efforts, especially with cheetahs.

Since 1952, The Brazos Drive-in Theatre has invited carloads of movie-lovers to kill their engines, tune their radios to 89.1 FM, and recline as far as their seats allow for the evening’s double feature. The historic theatre is the longest continually running drive-in in Texas and is conveniently located one mile from the Historic Granbury Square.

Revolver Brewing is a family-owned craft brewery offering Saturday tours with tastings, live music & on-site food vendors.

Restore your tranquility in your Granbury getaway. Rest easy from the balcony of one of the many historic Bed & Breakfasts, watch the sunset from the Granbury City Beach, enjoy the Brazos River from the seat of a kayak, or explore the peacefulness of a small town from the many hiking and bike trails.
