just because a manufacture states what weight their vehicle will tow does not mean said vehicle will tow it safe or even tow it without a lot of effort. me i like my tow vehicle to have a v8 engine (prefer diesel for ease of getting moving) and weigh almost as much as towed vehicle for better handling ie cross winds, curves in road ,just better handling overall
