Kerrville an RVer’s Paradise

Surrounded in natural beauty of the renowned Texas Hill Country, Kerrville is what many would call an RVer’s paradise. Boasting a mild year round climate and ideally located an hour drive west of San Antonio as well as snugly between two other Hill Country favorites, Fredericksburg and Bandera.

One doesn’t have to travel very far to see or do so very much! Already home to an array of activities to fill your day and night, Kerrville is also host to a variety of highly lauded RV parks. The hardest decision you’ll have to make is deciding which one to set up camp in!

Guadalupe River

Throughout the year you will find a number of events and activities to keep you entertained during your stay, or maybe even convince you to extend it! Walk along the shady banks of the Guadalupe River on the recently completed four mile Guadalupe River Trail. It runs between Louise Hays and Kerrville-Schreiner Park.

Thanks to a beautiful natural setting, the Kerrville area is a bird watchers dream! Keep an eye out for rare and endangered species like the Golden-Cheeked Warbler or the Green Kingfisher known to frequent the area. Grab a bite to eat at one of the many delicious restaurants you will find all over the city. Unwind with a beverage at one of our wineries and brewery after exploring and shopping our historic downtown.

Take scenic drives that wind along the head waters of the Guadalupe River that lead you into Ingram and Hunt. There you’ll find a replica of Stonehenge complete with Easter Island heads. With a thriving performing arts community of both local and professional productions you are sure to stay amused and delighted throughout your stay.

Kerrville Festival

The fall and spring are the favored times of year for a majority of Kerrville’s most popular events. The Kerrville Folk Festival is touted as the longest running music festival of its kind with 18 days of live music performances and workshops. Shop area craftsmen and artists at the Kerrville Festival of the Arts Memorial Day weekend.  See the masterpieces showcased at Texas Furniture Makers Show in the fall. But no matter the month, there is never a bad time to plan your stay.
